Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your 4 days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes begins with an early pickup from your hotel. We’ll head south through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos and panoramic views of the mountain landscape.

Next, we’ll visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic UNESCO World Heritage site. Many famous films were shot here, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After that, you’ll have free time to walk through the old streets and explore.

We’ll then continue through Skoura and the Rose Valley, where you’ll see palm groves and old kasbahs lining the road. In the evening, we reach Dades Valley where you’ll check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

The 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes continues after breakfast. We’ll drive toward Tinghir and stop at Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon where tall rock walls rise high above the narrow path. Here, you’ll have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the cool air.

Along the way, we’ll pass through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga. As we arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, your camel guide will be ready. In the afternoon, you’ll ride a camel across the golden sand and watch the sunset over the Sahara.

Day 3: Free Day in Merzouga

Day 4: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

We suggest waking up early one last time to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll begin the drive north toward Fes on the final day of your 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour.

Along the way, we’ll pass through Midelt and stop for lunch. Then we’ll continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Near Ifrane, you’ll see Barbary monkeys in the cedar forest. We’ll also stop in Ifrane, a quiet mountain town, for a short break.
