3-Day Merzouga Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech to Dades Valley

• Depart Marrakech early in the morning
• Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass
• Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah
• Drive through Skoura oasis and its palm groves and old kasbahs
• Arrive in Dades Valley for dinner and overnight

Day 2 : Dades Valley to Merzouga

• Walk through Todra Gorges, with cliffs up to 300 meters high
• Pass through Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud on the way to the desert
• Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon
• Ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset
• Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and music around the campfire

Day 3 : Merzouga back to Marrakech

• Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes
• Have breakfast at the camp, then head back to Merzouga
• Drive through the Draa Valley, lined with date palms and old kasbahs
• Stop in Ouarzazate to visit Kasbah Taourirt and the film studios
• Cross the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech in the evening
